Collection: Ana Gabriela Silva, visual artist
|
Artist featured by Art Gallery The One in a collection. |
Gabriela Silva born in 1970 and holding a degree in Psychology, Gabriela grew up in an environment where photography and painting were a family hallmark.
From an early age, she expressed her passion for the arts and took independent drawing and painting lessons with Eduardo Carqueijeiro and Rita Melo. Through these experiences, she explored various techniques and styles, including Watercolor, Oil on Canvas, Pastel, and Collage, ultimately choosing Acrylic on Canvas as her preferred medium of expression.
Captivated by ceramics and photography, Gabriela finds inspiration in the forms, volumes, shadows, and colors of these mediums, which serve as the starting point for her work.
Her artistic vision is heavily influenced by the light of the Portuguese landscape. The plains, the ever-changing colors of the sky, and the blues of the sea are almost always the central themes of her creations.
She describes herself as an Impressionist.
