Collection: Borja Isbert, visual artist

Borja Isbert is a painter from Madrid who comes from a family of artists. Borja has a Law Degree from the San Pablo CEU University, Madrid (1987). His work has primarily focused on urban realism, but he has also explored a variety of subjects such as portraits, landscapes, and everyday scenes. Isbert is inspired by the search for light and its reflection on objects, capturing timeless moments with a consistent presence of space, depth, and movement in his paintings. Initially, he concentrated on faithfully representing reality, but over time, he has evolved towards a more intimate and profound exploration of scenes. Now, he plays more with primary colors and light contrasts to evoke emotions and sensations in the viewer. Recently, he has gained recognition for his new surrealistic perspective, arbitrarily manipulating space and time to create a universe where these realities do not exist as we know them.
