Eva Afonso is a Portuguese visual artist with an academic background in History from the University of Lisbon.

Her artistic journey began over two decades ago when she started receiving training at Nextart – School of Arts in Lisbon and in the studios of painters Dinara Dindarova and Paiva Raposo.

With a well-established artistic career, she has developed a distinct visual language, where the harmony of colors, shapes, and volumes results in balanced and expressive compositions.

Her work is characterized by a strong connection to nature and the surrounding environment, reflecting a contemplative approach to landscapes and organic forms. Through her canvases, she explores the relationship between the visible and the imagined, creating poetic and evocative atmospheres.

Her artwork has been exhibited in various venues through solo and group exhibitions and is part of public and private collections both nationally and internationally, including in Switzerland and the United States.

In addition to her artistic production, she has a deep interest in the History of Art and Painting.
