Franciél­len Búrigo is a Brazilian-born visual artist, transpersonal therapist, Reiki Master, and interior designer, with previous experience in the fields of fashion and beauty. She lives and works in Portugal. Her multidisciplinary background is reflected in a visual practice that brings together image, body, and processes of symbolic transformation.

A self-taught visual artist, in recent years she has devoted herself to developing an authorial language centred on collage and intervention on paper. She collects magazine cut-outs, particularly from fashion magazines, which she reorganises into compositions where narratives of femininity, desire, and rebirth emerge. These structures are further transformed through acrylic paint and burnt-painting techniques, creating erasures, openings, and layers of reconstruction.

The idea of the Phoenix, as a metaphor for death and rebirth, runs throughout her work. Her surfaces appear to burn and reassemble themselves, suggesting cycles of creative destruction and symbolic reconstruction. Through the interplay of paper, fire, colour, and imagery, Franciél­len creates a poetic territory in which the aesthetic experience approaches a ritual and therapeutic process.
