Collection: Kevin Pham, visual artist

Kevin Pham was born in 1990 in California, United States. He started drawing when he was young, but at the start of university, he stopped concentrating on art to focus on his studies in biochemistry. After receiving a Ph.D in chemistry, Kevin moved to Portugal in 2022 to perform research in Lisbon. During the winter holidays in 2023, he was given a drawing and painting kit as a gift. Because of this, he fell back in love with painting and has in fact become a full-time artist in 2025. 

Kevin likes to combine elements of realism and abstraction in his works. With oil paint as his preferred medium, he enjoys playing with edges, shapes, color, and muted tones to give his paintings a sense of mystery and awe. In the future, Kevin has aspirations to turn his focus of work towards the beauty and intimacy of men. He wants his viewers to have the opportunity to reflect on the sensitivities that men can possess. Aside from weekly figure drawing classes at the Lx Atelier in Lisbon, Kevin is primarily self-taught.
