Paula Figueiredo is an architect, artist, and jewellery designer with a strong passion for Art, Drawing, Painting, and Architecture, particularly Portuguese Heritage and Culture. Paula is Portuguese, born in Mozambique, lived in Macau and collaborated in several international architecture studios. With several built projects, including UNESCO awarded heritage renovations, Paula was also architect in the Portuguese Air Force, where for 11 years designed facilities for Military Air Bases and Headquarters, such as the main entrance of Lages Military Air Base in Azores, Portugal, with its unusual architectural shape. All these architecture projects were conceptualized using hand-drawn sketches and are deeply connected with local roots, history and cultural interconnection.
In 2019, Paula founded the company 3D+Dreams, a longtime dream to push her creativity into new horizons, establishing the “bridge” between Art, Architecture and Culture with the New Technologies. The 3D+Dreams concept starts with a hand-drawn sketch, which has been her passion since her childhood, and still is today, to bring her ideas to life. This hand-drawn sketch inspired by architecture, is then transformed into a
parametric design, which is 3D printed, producing a resin piece, appropriate for jewellery. Then, this resin piece is worked by her and a team of Portuguese Assay Office certified jewellers (Casa da Moeda), transforming these resin pieces into high-quality Jewels. Paula sells these Jewels under the brand Spark+Dreams and all are inspired by Architecture, Culture and by the rich history in Portuguese Heritage.
