Collection: Silvestre Quizembe, visual artist

Silvestre Quizembe was born in Angola (Uige), in 1991.
Currently, he is in the 3rd year of the Visual Arts Course at the Higher School of Art and Design of Caldas da Rainha. During his career, he has developed three-dimensional cardboard works, broadly exploring the plasticity of it.
He also explores other materials such as clay and the flexibility of metal to design and materialize fragmented three-dimensional forms, expressive of his self-portrait. His work is also representative of his aesthetic matrices, anchored in Angolan art.
His painting, composed of the coexistence of multiple pictorial languages, is chromatically vibrant and figurative, and fundamentally explores the self-portrait in a dreamlike and psychological universe.
