Collection: Annemarie Spatz
Artist featured by Art Gallery The One in a collection. |
Annemarie's paintings are now part of private collections worldwide. She has gained respect in Brazil and garnered admirers in Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Canada, Italy, France, and Portugal. The reason for this success is evident: Annemarie's brushstroke is pure, eternally simple in her concern for the dreamlike and nature.
Her art spans all artistic languages. With a personal style that enhances volumes and colors on her canvases, Annemarie subtly lets her sensitivity flow into each completed work. The artist transports us to a world without limits of colors and expressions. Surprisingly, she is self-taught and has specialized in drawing, painting, watercolor, and tapestry. In fact, she has developed a technique with a pronounced tropical character, depicting images of our fauna and flora.
A native of São Paulo, in 1985, she joined other tapestry artists and founded the Paulista Tapestry Center and the Artist of the Weave Group.
Her works have been featured in numerous exhibitions. In 1965, she participated for the first time in a collective exhibition, the 1st ESSO Salon of Young Artists at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro/RJ. Since then, she has never stopped exhibiting and working. She exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Campinas/SP in 1983 and 1998. She was present at the Art Fair in Münster/Germany, the Pablo Casales Festival in Prades/France, the Fitares Gallery in Sintra/Portugal, and the Collective Exhibition of Modern Primitive Painters in Cascais/Portugal. She also participated in the "Naif ao Caos" Exhibition at the Caos Arts Center in Odivelas/Portugal, as well as in various art galleries in São Paulo, Brazil.
