António Salgado is a contemporary Portuguese painter who has been creating art since a young age, developing a distinctive artistic language defined by emotional expression, gestural painting, and the richness of texture. Between 1989 and 2023, he lived in Luxembourg, where he strengthened his artistic identity through exhibitions, cultural projects, and artistic training at Galeria88 with Professor Kamen Popov.

His work lies between abstraction and contemporary figuration, exploring themes such as memory, identity, transformation, and the connection between humanity and nature. Working with acrylic, charcoal, dry pastel, and mixed media, he creates compositions of strong visual and tactile impact, where texture and expressive brushwork play a central role.
