Francisco Bartus, born in 1975 in Valencia, Spain, is a renowned painter who began his artistic journey encouraged by his school teachers. Initially, he worked as a professional designer and focused on still-life paintings using modern techniques, which gained positive reception from galleries and the public. Inspired by Carl Jung’s ideas, Bartus shifted his artistic focus to explore how deep human emotions are partially inherited and not solely shaped by individual experiences. This led him to develop a unique style that blends powerful techniques with themes of collective human consciousness.
His work is known for its innovative use of mixed media, creating a 3D effect through layers of paint, which sets his pieces apart. Bartus's art combines a variety of materials and techniques to produce extraordinary, multi-dimensional compositions. His iconic images feature colorful figures that, when viewed from a distance, transform into 3D representations of famous faces, landmarks, or pop art tributes.
Exhibiting his work widely in the U.S., including Florida, California, and New York, as well as in Europe—France, Spain, Germany, and Switzerland—Bartus has built an impressive international presence. His love for abstraction, hyperrealism, and pointillism, inspired by artists like Seurat and Signac, plays a key role in his creations. He draws inspiration from nature's synchronized movements, such as flocks of birds or schools of fish, which reflect order within chaos.
Bartus's exploration of collectivity in art has made him a visionary and sought-after artist. His works, known for their dynamic layering, vibrant palette, and visual impact, continue to captivate audiences in galleries worldwide.
