LETICIA VEIGA

A Brazilian artist born in Rio de Janeiro in July 1981, she discovered her passion for art as a child and never put her brushes and pencils down. After exhibiting her work during her childhood and adolescence, she gained recognition at the "UMIDA ARTE" gallery in Rio de Janeiro.

She graduated in architecture from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and started her professional career as a scenographer at TV Globo. However, her fascination with the television industry led her to shift her focus towards directing films, soap operas, and theater.

In 2010, she joined TV Globo as an Assistant Director while simultaneously working on personal projects as a director. Her career reached new heights in 2015 when she directed the soap opera "Malhação Sonhos" at TV Globo, which earned a Kids Emmy nomination.

In March 2019, she received an offer to direct the soap opera "Na Corda Bamba" by Plural Entertainment for TVI in Lisbon, Portugal. This work garnered international recognition with a nomination for an International Emmy Award.

Currently residing in Portugal, she continues her artistic journey by directing the soap opera "Quero é viver" for the same producer and broadcaster. Despite the distance from her homeland, she remains inspired to create works that deeply resonate with people's souls.
