Collection: Maria Luísa Horta, visual artist

Maria Luísa Horta, professionally known as Maria Luísa, is a Portuguese visual artist with a degree in Business Organization and Management from ISCTE. She studied Painting at the National Society of Fine Arts and at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon. Through painting and poetry, Maria Luísa expresses messages of life, hope, and human connection, aiming to inspire new meanings and purposes in life.

In May 2017, she launched her Painting and Poetry book “Living with Art / Art of Living” at Palácio Foz in Lisbon, followed by a presentation at the Lisbon Book Fair in June 2017.

Her solo exhibitions include “The Energy of Colors” (2014, Cascais), “The Magic of Brightness” (2015, Lisbon), “Tribute to Women” (2017, Lisbon), “Living with Art” (2017, Cascais), and exhibitions in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2022 and 2023 connected to her book “Living with Art and Art of Living.”

Maria Luísa has also participated in prestigious international art salons such as the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux Arts at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris and the Salon des Artistes Indépendants at the Grand Palais in Paris. Her work has been featured in international art fairs in Lisbon and Moscow, as well as collective exhibitions in Portugal, Brazil, France, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, and the United States.
