Collection: Rose Fernandes, visual artist

 Rose Fernandes is a contemporary visual artist, internationally recognized for her award-winning works, featured in both public and private collections. Born on May 23, 1972, Rose’s artistic interest began at age 5, influenced by her parents. Over the years, she developed her artistic career, participating in national and international exhibitions, attending workshops organized by the Cultural Foundation of Bahia, and winning prestigious awards. These include the gold medal in the Figurative category at the “Art in Forma” Salon in São Paulo for three consecutive years, and a silver medal at the “Best Art Show” in Ontario, Canada.

Rose has exhibited at MASP in São Paulo, completed an artistic residency in Paris, and attended courses at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris, along with workshops at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. Her exhibitions span Europe, the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Italy, and Germany. Inspired by nature and daily life, her work reflects a tropical and realistic style, occasionally venturing into surrealism and abstraction.

In addition to her 30+ years of artistic career, Rose is the co-founder and president of the Rose Fernandes Artistic Cultural Institute, a non-profit organization established in 2023, located at the R F Art Gallery in Southwest Bahia. Her mission is to transform lives by democratizing access to art and culture, fostering creativity in an inspiring environment.
