Toia Neuparth, visual artist

Maria Antónia Neuparth Vieira Alexandre, known professionally as Toia Neuparth, was born on November 3, 1943, in Angola. She began her artistic career in 1998, since then developing a consistent path in the visual arts, with participation in numerous international exhibitions and events.

Her trajectory is marked by recognition from various institutions and galleries, reflecting a continuous and award-winning artistic practice over the years.

Curriculum and recent distinctions

In 2023, Toia Neuparth was awarded the Gold Diploma “Mário Silva Prize” by AAAGP. In the same year, she participated in the Artcom Expo International of Artists and Partners, held at the Chalkos Gallery in Thessaloniki, Greece, where she received the Silver Medal. Also in 2023, she was honored in Brussels, Belgium, at the Atelier Bal d’Art Belgique event, receiving the Gold Medal.

In 2024, her international journey continued with participation at the KALO Gallery in Croatia, where she was awarded the Bronze Medal. In the same year, she received the Honorary Gold Medal from AAAGP and the Silver Medal at the Tony Vitorino Vieira Municipal Gallery in Leiria.

In 2025, she took part in the “Mário Silva 2025” Biennial, where she was once again recognized with a Special Prize, consolidating her prominent presence in the contemporary art scene.
