Brief Description

Painting from the “corre” series from 2021. In 'Pleasure', an intensely provocative representation of sexuality and spirituality intertwine in a complex way. In the center of the painting, a woman masturbates, defying sexual taboos and revealing an expression of ecstasy. On her face is the image of Saint Mary, a venerated religious figure, while to her right, a skull evokes human mortality and the duality between pleasure and death. On the left, thorns and barbed wire suggest a landscape of pain and sacrifice. This work invites a deep reflection on the intersection between the sacred and the profane, pleasure and suffering.
