Claudia Ferro

Claudia Ferro is a Clinical Psychology graduate with training and professional experience in Clinical and Forensic Psychology as well as Social Sciences. Born in Portugal, she spent eleven years in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, before returning to Portugal, where she currently resides.

Her self-taught artistic practice revolves around the pursuit of beauty, exploring alternative or subjective realities through drawing and painting. Her works often depict the female figure, delicately yet powerfully, with large eyes that simultaneously question and observe, reflecting and communicating both inner and outer experiences.

With her artwork, she aims to achieve a degree of visual poetry, inviting observers to reinterpret her creations.

She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, showcasing her work in galleries and cultural events across Portugal and internationally. Notable exhibitions include "Corpo de Mulher, vivido, sentido, despido" at the Direção-Geral de Reinserção e Serviços Prisionais in Lisbon, and "She is the One" at Arte Arca Gallery in Lisbon.

In addition to her exhibitions, Claudia has contributed to various projects, including providing illustrations for books such as "Uma Paródia Infantil" by Vasco Esperança and exhibiting drawings for "Memórias Futuras-Crónicas de Reinserção Social" by João Firmino.
