Artist featured by Art Gallery The One in a collection. |
Júlio César Franco Furtado, born on November 14, 1956, in Vera Cruz-SP, is a self-taught artist skilled in music, painting, drawing, photography, and crafts. In addition to being a technician in Electronics and Telecommunications, he holds degrees in Visual Communication (Unesp) and Architecture and Urbanism (USC), with a specialization in Anthropology.
With almost 40 years of teaching experience, he worked in communication and advertising, earning awards and medals. He retired at the age of 62 and now devotes his time to music, painting, making cases for musical instruments, and creating mosaics with tiles.
His works, characterized by intense colors, reflect influences from artists like Van Gogh, Paul Klee, and Toulouse Lautrec. Inspired by his hometown, family, and teachers, he seeks a space in the art world.
Despite challenges in the Brazilian visual arts scene, he has found recognition at the Arca Gallery in Lisbon, Portugal, under the curatorship of Gretta Balin.
