Maria Godinho was born in Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal.
She worked for many years in the accounting field, but from a very young age, she was fascinated by everything related to art in all its forms.

For that reason, over the years she has completed various training courses in drawing and painting. In 2021, she finished her specialization course in Painting and Sculpture at the School of Art and Design of Cascais.

She paints figurative abstracts, often leaning more toward abstraction than representation, using the palette knife to add movement, light, and loose, textured brushstrokes. Her love for art keeps her in constant learning.

About herself, the artist says:

“When I start a work with an idea and commit to it until the very end, the result eventually reveals itself.”
