Brief Description
Painted in black and white, it carries the rhythm of a continent. The Angola chicken, or capote, is more than a bird; it is a symbol of migration, displaced territory, and ancestral body. Each spot on its plumage forms a small constellation, echoing intertwined histories between Africa and Brazil, between the terreiro and time. Its cry is a sound of resistance, rejecting the ornament of silence and asserting presence. In this work, the ordinary animal becomes language. We celebrate its untamed aesthetic.
